Live-bearing (ovoviviparous): young develop in a brood pouch and are born one at a time as fully formed snails.
Keep 3-5 in a group and let them pair up.
40 L tank with hard alkaline water, rocks, wood and a sand base.
Stable warm water and regular feeding.
Embryos grow in the female's brood pouch; each young is pushed out in a soft white egg capsule that dissolves, releasing a fully developed snail, one at a time at intervals. No release interval is documented for this species.
Baby snails look like adults and graze on biofilm; leave them in the tank.
A rabbit snail endemic to Lake Poso in Sulawesi, named after the Toraja people. Its shell is tall and slender (about 5.4 cm, 7-9 whorls). Orange-bodied rabbit snails are sold as "Orange Poso", but trade names are not reliably matched to species.
The Swiss cousins Paul and Fritz Sarasin described this snail in 1897 after exploring Sulawesi. Its bright orange body made it one of the first rabbit snails to become popular in aquariums.
First described by Paul & Fritz Sarasin in 1897. Named for Named after the Toraja people of Sulawesi.

Invertebrate: freshwater livebearing snail (pachychilid gastropod). The name is valid, but the link between the trade "Orange Poso" rabbit snail and this species is not confirmed by a scientific source; orange-bodied Tylomelania are sold under trade names and their species identity is often uncertain (Aqualibs: "Exact species identification is uncertain from the trade name"). Treat as provisional.
