Hikari Discus Bio-Gold

Slowly sinking, soft porous granule for discus. Krill meal, silkworm pupae, fish meal, cuttlefish meal, seaweed, yeast, potato starch, spirulina, carotene, astaxanthin, vitamins (high vitamin C), artificial colour red 3; protein min 50%, fat min 12%, fibre max 3%, moisture max 10%, ash max 15%.

For: Discus, angelfish, Apistogramma, dwarf cichlids and other smaller tropical fish

How to feed: Feed smaller amounts more often rather than two feedings a day; turn the water flow down while feeding; remove uneaten food.

Careful: Rich food (protein 50%, fat 12%): remove leftovers promptly to protect water quality. Hikari says it avoids the parasites of live foods (manufacturer claim). Storage: sourced vet guidance (Merck) to keep dry food cool, dry and pest-proof and discard an opened container kept at room temperature after 2 months (rancidity, mould, mycotoxins). Overfeeding fouls water (manufacturer feeding notes).
