How to feed: Manufacturer (US): feed two to three times daily, only as much as the fish can consume within three minutes. Merck Vet Manual: maintenance diets about 1-2% of body weight per day; overfeeding causes health problems and dirty water; remove uneaten food.
Careful: Overfeeding harms fish and water quality; remove uneaten food daily. Floating flakes are not suitable as the main food for bottom feeders. Dried food loses quality: Merck advises keeping dried foods no more than about 2 months.
