Seachem Focus
Antibacterial

Seachem Focus

Active ingredient: Polymer-bound nitrofurantoin 0.1% (an antibacterial polymer that also binds other medications into food)

How to use (from the label): Mix 1 scoop of the chosen medication + 1 scoop Focus + 1 tbsp food (pellets or frozen; a few drops of water for dry food). Feed once daily, as much as is eaten in about 1 minute, for at least a week. The mix can be refrigerated or frozen.

Careful: Meant to be combined with another Seachem medication (MetroPlex, KanaPlex, SulfaPlex, NeoPlex), not used alone. Medicated food lets you treat internally while another medicine is in the water, or in tanks with plants and invertebrates.

Rules: Contains a nitrofuran antibiotic: nitrofurans are not FDA-approved for food fish in the US; in the UK, antibiotics for fish (including ornamental fish) may only be obtained on veterinary prescription. Labelled for ornamental fish only.

Never mix medicines unless the label says it is safe, and remove shrimp and snails unless the label says they are safe.

Examples you may see in shops: Seachem Focus (binding agent). Not endorsements. Always follow the label.
